About the role

As an AI Engineer, you have the opportunity to co-create a new AI platform for the financial world from the ground up – from the initial idea to productive deployment. You will work on projects that have a direct impact on financial institutions and their customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the solution design, development, and rollout of our new AI platform

• Identify new use cases and translate them into concrete, AI-driven solutions

• Develop and test prototypes to validate ideas early on with customers and stakeholders

• Evaluate new technologies in terms of feasibility, maturity, and business value – and derive architectural and tooling decisions from them

• Promote data-driven thinking and act as a driving force for AI innovation within the company

Your Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in building at least one market-relevant product or feature based on LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral)

• Very strong Python skills, especially in the context of LLM applications

• Hands-on experience with embedding models, vector databases, and RAG architectures

• Enjoyment of iterative work, continuous learning, and experimentation

• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with Product Owners and Software Engineers

• Industry knowledge in banking and an affinity for DevOps are a big plus

• Fluent English, German is a big plus
